Job summary

WSP is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Programs Team, supporting projects from Boise, ID and other U.S. offices. The role spans from initial design to construction, contributing to electrical plans, specifications, and diverse delivery methods.

The candidate should have a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience, with familiarity in NEC/IEEE/NFPA ICC standards and the ability to travel as needed. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
3–5 years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering design on various capital projects.
Ability to pass security background check for client access; US citizenship may be required.

Responsibilities

Design within an electrical discipline team for a wide range of projects.
Participate from inception to completion in design and construction of facilities and infrastructure.
Contribute to design under design-bid-build, Design-Build, or Alternative Delivery frameworks.
Develop electrical drawings (single-line, three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, layouts).
Perform load, short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, voltage drop analyses; equipment sizing and grounding studies.
