Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support the Federal Programs Team across Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; Madison, WI or Virginia Beach, VA offices. The role involves design and construction for facility and infrastructure projects and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include from concept to completion, performing electrical calculations, drafting plans/specifications, and delivering design deliverables in various delivery frameworks. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university; or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for small, medium, and large capital projects.
• Working knowledge of NEC, ANSI/IEEE, NFPA and ICC codes.
• Experience in engineering consulting environment.
• Ability to perform technical computations and understand plans and specifications.
• Ability to travel within the US and internationally depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design delivery for a wide range of electrical projects within an engineering discipline team.
• Involved from project inception to completion in design and construction of facilities and infrastructure.
• Deliver design projects in multiple delivery frameworks (design-bid-build, design-build, etc.).
• Develop electrical plans, schematics, and specifications; conduct calculations (load analysis, short circuit, voltage drop, etc.).
• Prepare technical reports and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
