Job summary

LaBella Associates seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering team in Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY. You will work with project teams to develop concepts, designs, drawings and reports for buildings from conception to construction.

You’ll perform lighting calculations, arc flash studies and field investigations while collaborating with architects and other engineers on diverse project types, including education, healthcare and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Entry-level position; EIT certification is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred; background in A/E consulting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specs and reports.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Conduct field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and collaborate across disciplines.
• Stay current with technologies and trends applicable to projects.
