Job summary

KBR is seeking a Jr Electrical & Computer Engineer to work with the Mission Technology Solutions group in King of Prussia, PA. The role involves collaborating across multiple engineering teams to design, develop, and validate electrical and computer systems, including embedded hardware and networked solutions.

You will document interfaces, assist in system integration, and support mission-critical decisions with technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships/co-ops acceptable.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python engineering tools.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools like Cameo.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of electrical and computer engineering systems, including hardware and embedded systems.
• Develop and review technical documentation (schematics, interface control documents, test procedures).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems and software engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of system-level issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
• Apply standard engineering processes to research, design, and analysis of components or subsystems.
• Assist higher level engineers and translate technical guidance into usable information.
