Job summary

KBR in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Jr. Electrical & Computer Engineer to collaborate with diverse teams in the design, development, and research of interfaces, ensuring subsystem integration into a viable system.

The role emphasizes providing ongoing functional analysis to validate mission requirements while monitoring performance, and serving as the customer interface for technical guidance and decisions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python.
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of electrical and computer engineering systems including hardware and embedded systems.
• Develop and review technical documentation such as schematics and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems and software engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of system-level issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering processes and tools.
• Plan, direct and coordinate engineering functions involved in design, testing, integration of systems and subsystems.
• Assist in compiling technical reports and proposals; liaison with multiple teams.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
