KBR in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Jr. System Engineer to join the Mission Technology Solutions team. You will collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and integrate interfaces, ensuring subsystems form a viable system and meeting mission requirements.

The role emphasizes analysis, feedback to subsystem teams, and customer advisement to inform critical decisions. A TS/SCI clearance and a BS in EE/CE/CS are required, with strong communication and a proactive mindset.

Qualificações

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter who can partner with multiple teammates
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Understanding of planning and integrating secure solutions based on policy and compliance directives
• Familiarity with development of requirements for system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security for mid-to-large-scale systems

Responsabilidades

• Support end-user needs by identifying, investigating and resolving system issues related to space systems
• Collaborate with analysts, project leads, and customers to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability
• Assist in developing system requirements and specifications aligned with High-Level Mission objectives
• Participate in trade studies to identify improvements in system performance, architecture, and software/hardware solutions
• Contribute to engineering tradeoff analyses and assist in formulating COAs that consider operational constraints
• Gather information to create technical documents that support project deliverables
• Stay updated on agency, national, and international standards related to space systems development to ensure compliance and integration
• Provide support throughout the systems engineering life cycle, managing risks and developing mitigation plans to guarantee mission success
• Track project activities for systems engineering, software/hardware development, and deployment, ensuring effective command and control integration
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts to optimize ground processing and mission management practices
