Job summary

KBR Mission Technology Solutions is seeking a Jr. Electrical & Computer Engineer in Chantilly, VA to collaborate with stakeholders on interfaces, validate mission requirements, and monitor system performance. You will advise customers and help integrate subsystems into complete systems.

This role emphasizes team collaboration, documentation, and cross-functional engagement with systems and software engineers to deliver mission-critical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python.
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of electrical and computer engineering systems, incl. hardware, embedded systems, and networked solutions.
• Develop and review technical documentation, including schematics, interface control documents, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems and software engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of system-level issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
• Plan, direct and coordinate engineering functions involved in design, development, installation, testing, validation and integration.
