Job summary

Kinetic Digital Publishers is seeking a detail-oriented Junior eBook Production Specialist to support manuscript preparation, digital formatting, and quality assurance across publishing projects. You will collaborate with authors, editors, designers, and project managers to ensure compliant files for platforms such as Kindle Direct Publishing.

Applicants should have strong written English, familiarity with Word/Docs, and an interest in publishing workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong written English and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
• Basic understanding of document formatting and digital publishing.
• Knowledge of EPUB, PDF, and eBook production workflows is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Amazon KDP or other publishing platforms is preferred.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign or related layout software is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn publishing standards and production procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manuscript preparation for digital publishing.
• Format manuscripts according to project specifications.
• Support the preparation of ebooks in EPUB, PDF, and other required formats.
• Review manuscripts for consistency in headings, typography, spacing, paragraph styles, page structure, and layout.
• Assist with editing and proofreading coordination.
• Review book covers and interior layouts for technical and formatting consistency.
• Prepare and check digital files for platforms such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).
• Verify that files meet relevant technical requirements before submission or delivery.
• Coordinate revisions and approvals with authors, editors, designers, and project managers.
• Maintain production schedules and track project deadlines.
• Organize manuscripts, design files, revisions, and final deliverables.
• Perform quality checks to identify formatting errors, missing content, broken links, or other production issues.
• Communicate project progress and flag potential delays.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and version control.
• Support multiple projects while ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
