Job summary

cb5 Solutions LLC is seeking a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to join our DevSecOps team supporting a US DoD agency. You will work with senior engineers to build, secure, and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms (AKS, ECS, OCP) across cloud environments.

The role involves IaC with Terraform/Helm/Ansible, CI/CD support, container hardening for DoD compliance, and collaboration with developers, network engineers, and operations. A security clearance is required or active DoD 8570 IAT II certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps or Linux/system administration experience.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, or OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
• Understanding of CI/CD and Git.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support Kubernetes-based platforms for a US DoD agency.
• Build, deploy, and maintain containerized apps and cloud infra.
• Write and maintain IaC with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and Bash.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot builds and deployments.
• Apply container hardening to meet DoD compliance.
• Monitor environments, respond to issues, and escalate complex problems.
• Assist migration of workloads to cloud/container platforms.
• Create and keep current documentation for systems and procedures.
