Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Colorado Springs is seeking a Jr Software Developer to build secure, end-to-end cloud lifecycles and containerized services.

You will work with Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, Go, Next.js, Node.js and deploy via Kubernetes or Docker, with CI/CD and GitOps for automated, secure delivery.

This role supports modern DevSecOps in AWS and other clouds, applying Terraform, Ansible, and IaC practices to strengthen security, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2 years' experience developing web based applications.
• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab CI.
• Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB.
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work across multiple technology stacks to support a broad range of applications.
• Develop and implement secure, end-to-end Kubernetes or Docker-based lifecycles.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a focus on security and automation.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to architect containerized solutions.
• Apply GitOps principles for automated deployments.
• Implement DevSecOps practices ensuring security at all lifecycle stages.
• Leverage AWS and other clouds for reliability, scalability, and security.
• Maintain infrastructure using IaC/CaC.
