Ericsson Inc. is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment within hyperscale and enterprise data centers.

This entry-level role is ideal for those starting in data center operations, telecom, or technical infrastructure. You will perform hands-on tasks such as equipment staging, rack preparation, cabling, labeling, inventory management, and documentation while learning best practices alongside experienced teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, telecommunications equipment, networking, or data center infrastructure.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling concepts is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment and cabling in designated areas.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists and update tracking systems.
• Assist with rack positioning, leveling, and physical preparation under guidance.
• Install rack accessories like cable managers, panels, and PDUs.
• Support rack-and-stack activities by lifting and securing equipment as instructed.
• Perform basic copper and fiber patching using predefined maps and instructions.
• Route and dress cabling per quality standards and conventions.
• Apply labels to racks, ports, and cabling according to naming conventions.
• Capture serial numbers, rack locations, photos, and installation records.
• Execute MACD activities under supervision and report issues promptly.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and escalate issues as needed.
• Follow MOPs, safety, and quality standards at all times.
