Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in the Washington, DC Metro Area is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer (Finance) to support project teams across multiple offices including College Park, MD; Arlington, VA; and Herndon, VA.

Reporting to a project manager or superintendent, you will assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and resolving design issues while gaining hands-on experience in construction management and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management, Construction Technology.
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors.
• Managing estimating and bidding processes and tracking costs to manage project budget.
• Resolving and clarifying design issues and reviewing project drawings and change orders.
• Providing field support to ensure contract compliance, quality control, and safety on site.
