Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to assist in managing construction projects under the guidance of a Project Manager and Superintendent. You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors while assisting with budgets, schedules, and field issue resolution.

Responsibilities include coordinating trades, reviewing drawings and specs, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety requirements on site.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of safety regulations, ANSI standards, building codes, and environmental guidelines.
• General knowledge of construction processes, practices, and on-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Assist in managing estimating, bidding, and tracking project costs.
• Resolve design issues and field changes.
• Draft contracts and purchase orders using boilerplate language.
• Support in meetings to coordinate work and labor planning.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and contract specs.
• Follow project schedules and track progress against milestones.
• Document project phases, costs, and personnel involved.
• Provide field support to ensure safety and quality on site.
