Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer (Finance) to support project teams on construction projects. You will report to a Project Manager or Superintendent and help manage costs, schedules and coordination among owners, engineers and trades.

This role emphasizes learning and applying engineering principles, reviewing drawings and specifications, and supporting field activities to ensure quality and contract compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management, Construction Technology.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and basic business principles to monitor expenses.
• Ability to read technical specifications and drawings, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors and subcontractors.
• Assist in coordinating project schedules to meet milestones and budgets.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals and changes for field clarity and compliance.
• Provide field support to ensure contract compliance and quality control.
• Document project phases, costs, schedules and change orders.
