Job summary

Crusoe in Sunnyvale is seeking a Software Engineer I to join the Cloud Network team, building and operating scalable cloud network infrastructure. This is an early-career role to grow in distributed systems under guidance from senior engineers.

You will contribute to engineering efforts, write clean code, participate in reviews and design discussions, and learn cloud primitives through mentorship. A background in Java or Go, Linux basics, and a growth mindset will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience through internships, school projects, or ~1 year of professional work.
• Familiarity with core software engineering practices: coding standards, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java or Go; Linux fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn network systems and distributed computing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cloud network features and implement well-scoped pieces of larger projects.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in design documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions to build understanding of the system.
• Grow technical skills through mentorship, pairing, and collaboration with teammates.
