Crusoe is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build a platform for network tooling that supports edge, backbone, and data center operations at Crusoe Cloud. You will design and implement control plane APIs and systems to manage network configuration, topology, and provisioning at scale.

The ideal candidate will be a distributed systems engineer who thrives on solving hard scaling challenges, mentoring teammates, and owning mission-critical infrastructure in a fast-growing cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend systems.
• Experience designing scalable, reliable APIs or services for multiple teams.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Go, Rust, C++, Java, Python).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop network tooling and control plane APIs for Crusoe Cloud.
• Scale control plane systems to handle growing network size and complexity.
• Mentor engineers and uphold high standards in design and reviews.
• Collaborate with product to decide build vs. buy for control plane software.
• Partner with product/ops to align systems with growth and networking needs.
• Design fault-tolerant, highly available distributed control plane systems.
• Promote modern software practices, CI/CD, and IaC for velocity and reliability.
• Own initiatives from ideation to deployment with measurable impact.
