Qualifications

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with ABET accreditation preferred.
• Internship or related consulting experience is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of civil/structural engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work analytically in a quantitative environment with strong problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM, and other design tools.
• Leadership potential and teamwork are valued; EIT certification is preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transmission line design from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for high voltage lines (69-500 kV).
• Design transmission line components including plan/profile drawings and foundation diagrams.
• Apply standard civil/structural engineering concepts to project work.
• Assist with data collection, studies, and reports for projects.
• Update drawings using CAD software and verify corrections.
• Assist with client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, and calculations for clients.
