Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Akron, OH is seeking an Assistant Environmental Engineer to join the project teams and assist with high-voltage transmission routing, power generation construction, and water treatment facilities. You will work under a licensed PE and participate in the design and construction process, adapting environmental plans to fit budget and client needs.

You will help with conceptual design, drawings in AutoCAD and BIM, field inspections, data collection, and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Proficient in environmental and civil engineering techniques and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in environmental design of projects from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review drawings for various facilities using CAD/BIM tools.
• Support field inspections, measurements, and data collection for clients.
• Assist in client presentations, shop drawings, and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
