Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking an estimator support professional for heavy civil projects around Anchorage and Fairbanks, AK. This role provides technical engineering and cost information to assure compliance with engineering standards.

You will interpret drawings for craft workers, support job controls, and prepare essential documentation to enable accurate bids and project execution. Strong MS Office and AGTEK Take-off skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design drawings for craft workers to ensure specifications are followed.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems to verify compliance with codes, drawings, and specs.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material calculations.
