Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking an engineer/estimator support professional to provide technical input for projects in California. You’ll help control costs, review designs, and support field teams ensuring compliance with specifications.

Candidates should have a Civil/Construction or related background, familiarity with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off tools, and a desire to work in a dynamic infrastructure environment with exposure to bid preparation and material costing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience supporting estimating, engineering, or field teams is desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office and take-off software is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation issues, conflicts, and errors to verify compliance with codes and specs.
