Granite Construction Company is seeking an estimator/engineer to develop accurate, timely estimates for public and private sector projects. You will review drawings, materials, and site conditions, and coordinate with field teams to ensure competitive bids.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field and 2+ years of take-off or engineering experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
• 2+ years of Engineer or Take-Off Technician experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office products and AGTEK Take-off; Primavera scheduling.
• Basic understanding of Estimating software and civil/construction principles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of DBE requirements.

• Comprehend and administer a safety program to meet Granite’s Annual Incident Goal.
• Promote awareness of environmental policies and compliance in operations.
• Foster a quality culture focused on delivering a product pleasing to customers.
• Analyze estimate data for labor, materials, equipment, and location costs.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions; involve field input for final estimates.
• Discuss options and construction methods with field supervision and estimators to improve bid competitiveness.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs to ensure data accuracy in estimates.
• Use cost history to verify estimates and understand bidding risks.
