Job summary

Halff is seeking new graduates for a Graduate Civil Engineer role in our McAllen, TX office. The position involves assisting in the design and production of construction plans for municipal projects, with close mentorship from licensed professional engineers to support growth and development.

The candidate will collaborate on roadways, drainage, pipelines, parks, and site design, gaining exposure to CAD/Civil 3D workflows and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent
• Texas EIT license or the ability to obtain within 2 years of employment
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and materials
• Proficiency with CAD software and design tools

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a design team to produce construction plans for local infrastructure projects
• Display calculations and layouts using design software to create construction plans
• Draft reports and present plans to diverse audiences with varying technical knowledge
• Estimate construction costs and quantities, conduct site visits, review submittals
