Job summary

Halff is seeking recent graduates to join our Dallas, TX office as Graduate Civil Engineer I, Public Works. You will work on design and production of construction plans for local infrastructure including roads, drainage, and water/sewer projects, under mentorship from licensed PEs.

You will collaborate with a team, use CAD/Civil 3D and related tools, draft reports, and help estimate costs while visiting sites and reviewing contractor submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Current Texas EIT or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
• Proficient with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and design software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data presentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering team to design and produce construction plans for local infrastructure projects.
• Use CAD and drafting tools to display calculations, layouts, and concepts for construction plans.
• Draft reports and present plans to diverse audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
• Estimate construction costs and quantities, perform site visits, and review submittals.
