Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer I for our Brownsville, TX office. You will join a team to design and produce construction plans for municipal projects including roads, drainage, water and wastewater systems, parks, and site development.

The role offers mentorship from licensed PEs, opportunities to grow, and responsibilities ranging from planning to cost estimation and site visits. Strong communication and CAD skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• 0-3 years of Local Infrastructure/Public Works or Land Development experience.
• FE exam passed or achievable within 6 months of hire.
• Texas EIT license or ability to obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to solve design challenges and produce construction plans.
• Use design software to display calculations and layouts for infrastructure improvements.
• Draft reports and present plans to diverse audiences.
