Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is hiring a Graduate Civil Engineer I for Public Works in our Houston, TX office. You will support the design and production of construction plans for municipal projects, including roads, drainage, and water/wastewater facilities.

Under PE mentorship, you will solve design challenges, prepare reports, and help estimate costs while developing CAD/Civil 3D skills and client communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent.
• US or Texas EIT license within 2 years of employment or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and tools.
• Experience with CAD/ Civil 3D and drafting software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering team to produce construction plans for local infrastructure projects.
• Use design software to display calculations and layouts for construction plans.
• Draft reports and present plans to diverse audiences in lay terms.
• Estimate costs, perform site visits, and review submittals.
