Halff Associates, Inc. invites a Professional Civil Engineer with 4–7 years of public works experience to join our Dallas or Richardson, TX office. The role covers design, project management, client coordination, and mentorship across multiple offices.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with a Texas PE or eligibility within six months, and are adept at AutoCAD Civil 3D, cost estimates, schedules, and QC plans for roadways, drainage, and water/wastewater projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.
• 4–7 years of public works/municipal infrastructure experience.
• Strong civil design and project management skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and collaboration across offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate design and plan production from initiation through construction.
• Serve as main client contact and coordinate with subconsultants and teams.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and QC plans.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to staff.
• Coordinate work sharing with multiple Halff offices.
• Support construction-phase services and respond to questions.
• Assist with client development and proposal preparation.
