Job summary

Bohler’s Richmond, VA office seeks an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Land Development) to learn, grow, and contribute to site design. You’ll work with mentors on land development projects, including site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater, across commercial, residential, and mixed-use markets.

You’ll use AutoCAD Civil 3D, receive targeted training, and participate in field visits while building a rewarding engineering career through Bohler’s development programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–1+ years of residential, commercial, or industrial site design experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; training provided if not proficient.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• EIT certification is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including site planning and grading.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers through concept to construction.
• Create site layouts and utility designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research design manuals, zoning ordinances, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Review and address regulatory comments and assist with redesigns as needed.
• Support the preparation of stormwater management reports and submittals.
• Participate in Bohler’s Learning & Development programs.
• Attend site visits to observe field conditions and coordinate with project teams.
