Job summary

Bohler’s Warren, NJ office is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer (Land Development) eager to learn, grow, and make a positive impact. You will work with engineers, designers, and project managers on site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.

You will gain hands-on experience on real projects, mentored by senior engineers, with training in AutoCAD Civil 3D and exposure to residential, commercial, and mixed-use sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 0-1+ years of residential, commercial, or industrial site design and permitting experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not yet proficient).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Motivation to take initiative and contribute to shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use sites.
• Partner with experienced engineers to learn every stage of site design from concept through construction.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create site layouts, grading plans, and utility designs.
• Research and interpret design manuals, zoning ordinances, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Review regulatory comments and assist with project redesigns as needed.
• Support the preparation of stormwater management reports and construction submittals.
• Participate in Bohler’s Learning & Development programs for training.
• Attend site visits to observe field conditions and coordinate with project teams.
• Engage in civic, professional, and business organizations to build your network.
• Perform other responsibilities in accordance with company policies and standards.
