Job summary

Bohler’s West Hartford, CT office seeks an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Land Development) eager to learn and grow. You’ll assist on land development projects, from site planning to stormwater management, collaborating with engineers, designers, and PMs.

Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft layouts, review codes, and participate in Bohler’s Learning & Development programs, with opportunities across commercial, residential, and mixed-use markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 0–1+ years of site design and permitting experience (residential, commercial, or industrial).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not proficient).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.
• Partner with engineers and mentors to learn every stage of site design from concept through construction.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create site layouts, grading plans, and utility designs.
• Research and interpret design manuals, zoning ordinances, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Review and address regulatory comments and assist with project redesigns as needed.
• Support preparation of stormwater management reports and submittals.
• Attend site visits to observe field conditions and coordinate with project teams.
• Engage in professional and technical training through Bohler’s Learning & Development programs.
