Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Civil Engineer in the Decatur area to support design across small and large civil projects. You will perform design calculations, assist with drafting, and participate in fieldwork to collect data and support construction activities.

The ideal candidate has a BS or MS in civil engineering, 1–3 years of civil-site experience, and preferably EIT registration. Hybrid work options and relocation support may be available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT registration is strongly preferred and may be required.
• Up to 1–3 years of relevant civil-site engineering experience in industrial settings.

Responsabilités

• Produce low complex, complete design calculations and assignments
• Provide design assistance on larger and more complex assignments
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies
• Assist with drafting of plans and details for the completion of engineering drawings
• Perform fieldwork to gather data, check tie-ins, and provide construction support
• Develop written construction specifications that define the scope of work, provide specific instruction, and prescribe quality standards
• Perform land development and zoning code research for civil-site development projects
• Work with discipline lead engineer in identifying scope changes in projects
• Review and check submittal drawings and documentation
