Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Civil Engineer in Decatur, AL, to support the complete design of civil projects. This full-time role offers benefits, relocation support may be available, and opportunities for upward mobility.

Responsibilities include design calculations, drafting assistance, field data collection, and development of construction specifications. Bachelor's or Master in Civil Engineering required; EIT preferred. Hybrid work option may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT preferred or may be required.
• Up to 1–3 years of civil-site engineering experience desirable.
• Experience with civil-site design and related standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce low to moderate complexity design calculations and assignments.
• Assist with larger and more complex projects.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Draft plans and details for engineering drawings.
• Perform fieldwork to gather data and support construction.
• Develop construction specifications defining scope and quality standards.
• Conduct land development and zoning code research.
