Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of estimating support, engineering, or field support experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems to verify compliance with codes, drawings and specs.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material requirement calculations.
• Provide technical support regarding project material controls to minimize additional costs.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
• Provide building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and installation.
• Develop data for quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment for estimates and bids.
• Research historical data and productivity reports to develop guidelines for future estimates.
• Maintain backup files for estimating figures.
