Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a civil/estimation professional to provide technical engineering and cost information for construction projects. You will interpret drawings, coordinate with on-site teams, and support budgets, schedules, and change orders to ensure rigorous quality and compliance with specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of estimating or field support experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience; federal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Prepare and disseminate status reports, punch lists, and material calculations for accuracy.
• Provide technical support on project material controls to minimize additional costs.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
