Job summary

Stantec seeks a Junior Civil Engineer in California to support smaller engineering projects and assist senior staff. You will perform design calculations, prepare reports, and conduct fieldwork under close supervision.

A Bachelor’s in Engineering and EIT are required with 0–3 years of experience. Responsibilities include using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley, coordinating with other disciplines, and contributing to project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
• EIT certification or active registration preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of civil design concepts and codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering components using standard software.
• Collaborate with other disciplines under supervision of senior staff.
• Perform fieldwork and site observations as required.
• Prepare basic engineering calculations and reports.
• Support project team with data collection and design decisions.
