Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute on smaller projects or as a team member on larger efforts under supervision. Responsibilities include performing calculations, field work, and preparing design documentation and reports.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, PE licensure, and 5–10 years of experience. Office and field work are involved across diverse California locations, with a focus on infrastructure and environmental projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and PE licensure are required.
• Strong knowledge of civil systems, means and methods.
• Experience with design documentation and project production.
• Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to respond to technical problems with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team in development of design documentation and reports.
• Assists in developing designs through sketches and models.
• Utilizes 3D models of civil systems for project design.
• Prepares and revises documentation across project phases.
• Coordinates with disciplines to ensure design intent alignment.
• Assists with shop drawings reviews, RFIs, and site observation reports.
• Contributes to discipline specifications and material evaluations.
• Participates in project coordination meetings and value engineering.
• Applies sustainable design principles in projects.
