Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to support small-to-moderate projects under close supervision. You will perform civil design calculations and field work using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, contributing to project team efforts and ensuring quality outcomes.

With a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 0–3 years of experience, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the Sacramento/Roseville area, participate in data collection, and help prepare design reports while adhering to HSSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• EIT certification or active progress toward licensure.
• Fundamental understanding of civil engineering design concepts.
• Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Performs civil engineering design using AutoCAD, Bentley, and Civil 3D.
• Collaborates with other disciplines under supervision of a senior engineer/designer.
• Performs field work and supports data collection for design decisions.
• Develops portions of engineering reports and calculations.
• Assists with compliance verification against codes and standards.
