Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to contribute on smaller projects or as part of a larger project under supervision. You will assist in evaluating, selecting, and engineering civil systems, perform calculations, and support field activities in California, including Sacramento and Roseville.

You will work with senior engineers to develop reports, ensure code compliance, and participate in project teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with EIT.
• 0-3 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Understanding of civil engineering concepts and communication of ideas.

Responsibilities

• Performs civil engineering design using AutoCAD and Bentley.
• Coordinates with other disciplines under supervision.
• Performs field work as directed.
• Performs engineering calculations using standard software.
• Assists with data collection to support design decisions.
• Develops portions of engineering reports.
• Ensures compliance with codes and standards.
• May apply hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Analyzes proposed solutions for reliability and cost effectiveness.
