Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs.

This full-time, on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD, with future funding and an active Secret clearance required. The position involves developing software requirements, reviewing vendor specs, coordinating system integration, and supporting agile processes and technical reviews throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
