Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs. The role requires on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD, with a future start date after September 1, 2026.

An active Secret clearance is required, with potential progression to Top Secret. BS in a technical ABET-accredited program is expected. The position involves developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, supporting ECPs,

Qualifications

At least two years of experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
