Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at a NAVAIR base. The role covers software requirements, integration with vendors, and participation in Agile/SAFe processes.
A Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret later. Two+ years of experience and an ABET-accredited BS are expected. The position is future-funded (start after Sept 1, 2026) and on-site in Pax River, MD, with compensation in the range of $70,000 to
Qualifications
- Two+ years in software or systems engineering.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- ABET-accredited BS in a technical field is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review vendor software specifications and assess compatibility.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Analyze software defects and support cybersecurity SMEs.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs/DRRs etc.).
- Support ECP processes and contract deliverables.
- Contribute to Agile/SAFe team processes.
- Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
- Develop IGCEs and assist in technical evaluations.
