Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software‑focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.

On-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with future funding and start after September 1, 2026. Applicants should have a BS in a technical ABET‑accredited program and at least two years of software or systems engineering experience, plus knowledge of avionics systems.

Qualifications

• At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET‑accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
