Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities include developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, supporting System Engineering Technical Reviews, and participating in Agile/SAFe processes.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
• Conduct analysis of software defects
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
• Support the ECP process
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
