AAA seeks an entry-level Claims Auto Adjuster to support the Auto Claims Operation by handling claims of material and property damage and liability, under moderate supervision. You will investigate, evaluate coverage, and resolve claims with established procedures using claims technology.

The role emphasizes communication with insureds and claimants, and requires basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and claims software. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's equivalent combination of education and experience; no prior claims experience required
• Oral and written communication skills required
• Interpersonal skills required
• Property and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state; may be required to obtain an adjuster license per state law within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insureds and claimants; explain benefits, coverages, fault and claims process
• Conduct investigations to determine liability and damages; differentiate allegations from facts
• Evaluate and negotiate within settlement authority to resolve first and third-party claims
• Review estimates and analyze material damage and liability using claims tools
• Coordinate with internal and external departments; respond to customer needs and inquiries
