Job summary

AAA is seeking a Claims Senior Auto Adjuster to support Auto Claims Operations, handling material damage, property damage, and liability claims in compliance with regulations. The role emphasizes liability investigation, coverage evaluation, and settlement negotiations within authority, using claims technology and tools.

The position requires knowledge of vehicle repair processes, fault assessment, and subrogation concepts, with 1–3 years of claims handling experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 1-3 years claims handling experience.
• Working knowledge of claims administration best practices and procedures.
• Understanding of vehicle repair processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of fault assessment, negligence and subrogation principles.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, general computer software and claims software.
• Organization and planning recognition skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Property and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state (preferred).
• May be required to obtain an Adjuster license within 60 days (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insureds and claimants; verify benefits, coverages, fault, and claims process per regulatory requirements.
• Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses; conduct liability and damages investigations.
• Evaluate and negotiate within settlement authority to resolve first- and third-party claims using estimates and claims tools.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and inquiries.
• Overtime and holiday hours may be required.
