Job summary

AAA Auto Club Enterprises is seeking an entry-level Claims Associate to support Auto Claims Operations in California. You will handle claims across material damage, property damage, and liability, under moderate supervision, following regulatory requirements and company practices.

Responsibilities include inspecting to determine liability, negotiating settlements within authority, interviewing insureds and claimants, and coordinating with other departments. Overtime and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• No prior claims experience required.
• License: Property and Casualty Insurance license, valid in selling state.
• May be required to obtain an Adjuster license within 60 days.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer software.
• Strong organization and planning; oral and written communication; interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with insureds and claimants to explain benefits, coverages, fault, and claims process.
• Investigate to determine liability and damages; obtain statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Evaluate and negotiate within settlement authority to resolve first- and third-party claims.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• Respond to customer needs and inquiries.
