Job summary

Valid8 Financial, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Assistant I to support the accounting team with basic bookkeeping, invoicing and data entry, and to assist the Billing function as needed.

This role works under close supervision and collaborates with multiple departments to help maintain accurate financial records and timely reporting. It provides an opportunity to learn accounting principles in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Records basic financial transactions into an automated accounting system.
• Prepares, assembles, tabulates, verifies and files simple invoices and related documents.
• Enters data and performs basic reconciliations using pre-established worksheets.
• Maintains databases by updating customer and account information.
• Creates and maintains electronic and physical accounting files.
• Provides support to Billing and other departments as needed.
• Generates reports and assists with data gathering for review.
