Job summary

Teach For America (TFA) offers a full-time, paid, two-year teaching opportunity for graduates and early-career professionals across the United States. Corps members teach in under-resourced public schools, gaining hands-on experience and leadership training while earning a salary and benefits.

You will build relationships with students, families, and communities, navigate barriers to learning, and develop skills across communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree (in any field of study).
• Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status.
• No teaching certification required—candidates from all majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school.
• Build genuine relationships with students and families — not just lesson plans.
• Learn to navigate the barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom.
• Sharpen communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership.
• Work alongside your school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students who need it most.
