Job summary

Teach For America offers a national two-year, paid teaching opportunity for graduates and early-career professionals to teach full-time in under-resourced public schools across the United States.

You will build relationships with students and families, lead daily classroom activities, and collaborate with school communities to remove barriers to learning, while gaining hands-on experience shaping education and equity.

Qualifications

• 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
• Bachelor's degree (in any field of study)
• Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status
• No background in education or teaching certification required—candidates from all majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school
• Build genuine relationships with students and families — not just lesson plans
• Learn to navigate the barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom
• Sharpen your communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership
• Work alongside your school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students who need it most
