Teach For America is a national nonprofit offering a full-time, paid, two-year teaching opportunity for college seniors, graduates, and early-career professionals. Corps members teach in under-resourced public schools and gain hands-on responsibility while shaping their next steps.

You’ll develop leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, build trust with families, and contribute to expanding opportunity in communities across the United States. Start date: Late Spring 2027.

Qualifications

• 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree (in any field).
• Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status.
• No background in education or teaching certification required—candidates from all majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school.
• Build genuine relationships with students and families — not just lesson plans.
• Learn to navigate barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom.
• Sharpen your communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership.
• Work alongside your school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students who need it most.
