Job summary

Teach For America offers a full-time, two-year teaching corps for recent graduates and early-career professionals in under-resourced public schools across 40+ regions. You’ll lead classrooms, build trust with families, and gain hands-on experience shaping student outcomes.

You’ll receive salary and benefits, pursue pathway to teaching certification, and join a national network of 70,000+ TFA alumni, with ongoing coaching and career support after the corps.

Qualifications

• 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Bachelor's degree (in any field).
• Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status.
• No background in education or teaching certification required - candidates from all majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school
• Build genuine relationships with students and families - not just lesson plans
• Learn to navigate the barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom
• Sharpen your communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership
• Work alongside your school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students who need it most
